with RPO (US8) or RPO (US9)


The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

Some customers state that the clock reads in 24 Hour time (Military Time) on vehicles equipped with the RPO US8 or US9 Radios.

Recommendation/Instructions:

If the customer wishes to switch between Military Time and the 12 Hour clock. Please follow the following procedure:

  1. Put the Ignition in the Accessory or ON position.
  2. Press and hold the hours button for 2-3 seconds until the radio display reads "Adjust time".
  3. Press in the radio tuner knob until the desired time setting is displayed and then let go of the knob.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
