  1. Remove the oil filter adapter heat shield nuts.
  2. Remove the oil filter adapter heat shield (2).
  3. Remove the oil filter adapter bolts.
  4. Remove the oil filter adapter (1) and gasket.

    5. Object Number: 1581864 Size: SH
  5. Insert a flat-bladed tool into the oil filter bypass hole and remove the oil filter bypass valve.
