When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

Condition/Concern:

XM Radio may be inoperative after the UC6 radio is replaced and radio set-up is performed..

Recommendation/Instructions:

A Tech 2 software anomaly has been discovered and changes are taking place to update the software and will be available for the February release. However, please put this PI number in the bulletin field of the case and tell the dealer that he will be notified when the software is available for download from either Techline or the Tech 2 group. This software should be available in the next week or so and can be used to fix a customer vehicle prior to the release of the regular February software updates.

NOTE: Instruct the dealership not to replace the radio again as it will not correct the condition.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance. This diagnostic approach was developed for the vehicle with the VIN you entered and should not be automatically be used for other vehicles with similar symptoms.
