Removal Procedure

  1. Open the ashtray or the cupholder.

  2. Object Number: 318192  Size: SH
  3. Remove the following sets of screws:
  4. • Two screws from the front of the trim panel. For access to the front screws, remove the ashtray or the cupholder.
    • Two screws from the bottom of the trim panel. For access to the bottom screws, remove the console storage box.
  5. Use a small, flat-bladed tool in order to remove the upper tabs on the IP accessory trim plate from the instrument panel.
  6. Disconnect the electrical connectors, if equipped.
  7. Remove the IP accessory trim plate from the instrument panel.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the IP accessory trim plate to the instrument panel.
  2. Connect the electrical connectors, if equipped.
  3. Align the upper tabs of the IP accessory trim plate to the instrument panel.
  4. Install the following sets of screws:
  5. • Two screws to the front of the trim panel
    • Two screws to the bottom of the trim panel

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Tighten all of the screws.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  8. Install the console storage box, if required.
  9. Install the ashtray or the cupholder, if required.
  10. Close the ashtray or the cupholder.
