  1. Turn the steering wheel so that the vehicle's wheels are pointing straight ahead.
  2. Turn OFF the ignition.
  3. Remove the key from the ignition switch.
  4. Remove the SDM Fuse from the fuse block.
  5. Important: With the SDM Fuse removed and the ignition ON, the AIR BAG warning lamp illuminates. This is normal operation and does not indicate an SIR system malfunction.

  6. Remove the left insulator panel.
  7. Remove the connector position assurance (CPA) (3) from the driver frontal air bag yellow 2-way connector (2) located at the base of the steering column.
  8. Disconnect the driver frontal air bag yellow 2-way connector (2).

  10. Remove the right insulator panel.
  11. Remove the connector position assurance (CPA) (2) from the passenger frontal air bag yellow 2-way connector (1) located behind the right insulator panel.
  12. Disconnect the passenger frontal air bag yellow 2-way connector (1).

  14. Remove the connector position assurance (CPA) from the driver side air bag yellow 2-way connector (4) located under the driver seat.
  15. Disconnect the driver side air bag yellow 2-way connector (4).
  16. Remove the connector position assurance (CPA) from the driver seat belt pretensioner yellow 2-way connector (3) located under the driver seat.
  17. Disconnect the driver seat belt pretensioner yellow 2-way connector (3).

  19. Remove the connector position assurance (CPA) from the passenger side air bag yellow 2-way connector (4) located under the front passenger seat.
  20. Disconnect the passenger side air bag yellow 2-way connector (4).
  21. Remove the connector position assurance (CPA) from the passenger seat belt pretensioner yellow 2-way connector (3) located under the front passenger seat.
  22. Disconnect the passenger seat belt pretensioner yellow 2-way connector (3).
