Removal Procedure

    Important: The ignition switch must be in the OFF position when removing the instrument panel cluster.

  1. Remove the IP cluster trim plate. Refer to Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 318190  Size: SH
  3. Remove the screws from the IP cluster to instrument panel.

  4. Object Number: 318187  Size: SH
  5. Remove the IP cluster from the instrument panel.
  6. Disconnect the electrical connectors.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 318187  Size: SH
  1. Connect the electrical connectors.

  2. Object Number: 318190  Size: SH
  3. Position the IP cluster to the instrument panel.

  4. Object Number: 182576  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the screws to instrument panel cluster.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).

  7. Install the instrument cluster trim plate. Refer to Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Replacement .
  8. When installing a new IP cluster it must be synchronized to the supplemental inflatable restraint (SIR) module in order to synchronize the new cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Programming/Synchronization and to Electronic Compass Calibration .
