Is only one rear quarter window inoperative?

  1. Place the ignition switch into the RUN position.
  2. Using a test lamp, probe the inoperative quarter window actuator connector from terminals A to B. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.
  3. Press the rear quarter window switch to the open and then closed position.

Does the test lamp illuminate after both actions?

  1. Place the ignition switch into the RUN position.
  2. Using a test lamp, probe the interior lamp and multi-function switch (rear quarter window switch) connector C4 from terminal E and ground. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Replace the inoperative quarter window actuator. Refer to Body Side Window Actuator Replacement .

  1. Using a test lamp, probe the inoperative quarter window actuator connector from terminal B and ground. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.
  2. Press the rear quarter window switch to the open position.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Repair the poor connection or open in circuit 901 between S423 and the inoperative quarter window actuator terminal A. Refer to Wiring Repairs or Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Repair the poor connection or open in circuit 902 between S427 and the inoperative quarter window actuator terminal B. Refer to Wiring Repairs or Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  1. Using a test lamp, probe the interior lamp and multifunction switch (rear quarter window switch) connector C4 from terminals C and D. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.
  2. Press the rear quarter window switch to the open and closed positions.

Does the test amp illuminate in both cases?
