Did you perform the Content Theft Deterrent System Check?

  1. Disconnect the theft deterrent shock sensor.
  2. Use a test lamp in order to connect between the theft deterrent shock sensor connector terminal A and terminal C.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 3

  1. Disconnect the BCM connector C2.
  2. Use a DMM in order to measure the resistance between the BCM harness connector C2 terminal D14 and the shock sensor harness connector terminal B.

Is the resistance less than the specified value?

2ohms

Use a test lamp in order to connect between the theft deterrent shock sensor harness connector terminal A and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

  1. Adjust the shock sensor. Refer to Content Theft Deterrent (CTD) Circuit Description
  2. If the shock sensor sensitivity does not correct the malfunction, replace the shock sensor.

Is the repair complete?
