Driver Door and All Door Unlock

If you are in MODE 1 press UNLOCK on the transmitter 1 time in order to unlock ALL the doors and the liftgate.

If you are in MODE 2, press UNLOCK on the transmitter 1 time in order to unlock the driver door. Press UNLOCK a second time within 5 seconds in order to unlock all of the doors and the liftgate. The courtesy lamps will illuminate for 40 seconds or until the ignition switch is turned to RUN.

In order to unlock all the doors with only 1 press of the UNLOCK button, refer to Remote Unlock Control Customization . If the vehicle is equipped with the Content Theft Deterrent (CTD) system. Refer to Content Theft Deterrent (CTD) Circuit Description UA6, the LOCK button may control the alarm system.

All Door Lock

In order to lock all the doors, press the transmitter LOCK button. If the vehicle is equipped with the Content Theft Deterrent UA6 (CTD) system, the LOCK button may be used in order to control the alarm system. Refer to Content Theft Deterrent (CTD) Circuit Description .

Alarm

If the vehicle is equipped with the Content Theft Deterrent UA6 (CTD) system, a single press of the lower left transmitter alarm button will cause the following actions to occur:

    • The interior lamps illuminate
    • The horn sound intermittently
    • The park lamps flash for 2 minutes.
        In order to stop the alarm from going off for 2 minutes, press the alarm button again or turn the ignition key to RUN.

Power Sliding Door

If the vehicle is equipped with a power sliding door (E58), the transmitter will have a power sliding door button. Press the power sliding door button in order to open the power sliding door. To close the power sliding door, press the power sliding door button again.

If the sliding door is locked, perform the following steps:

  1. Unlock all of the vehicle doors.
  2. Press the power sliding door button in order to open the power sliding door.
  3. Press the power sliding door button again in order to close the power sliding door.

You can operate the power sliding door with the transmitter only when the power sliding door override switch on the overhead console is off.

Remote Activation Verification (RAV)

The body control module (BCM) provides a remote activation verification (RAV) feature, which supplies feedback to the operator during the start and finish of certain remote function actuation (RFA) commands.

When the RCDLR receives a valid transmitter message, the BCM will command certain functions depending on the remote activation verification (RAV) mode. The BCM has 4 RAV modes of operation. Refer to Content Theft Deterrent (CTD) Circuit Description for information on the different RAV modes and how to customize them.
