The sunshades may be equipped with an illuminated vanity mirror. The illuminated vanity mirror is not serviced as a separate unit.

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the screws from the sunshade mounting plate.
  2. Remove the sunshade.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the sunshade, if equipped.
  4. Remove the sunshade anchor from the roof by unsnapping, if needed.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the sunshade anchor by pressing into place until fully seated, if removed.
  2. Connect the electrical connector to the sunshade, if equipped.
  3. Position the sunshade to the roof.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the screws to the sunshade.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the sunshade screws to 3 N·m (27 lb in).
