Removal Procedure

    Important: Perform the radio set up procedure for new radios. Refer to Radio Setup .

  1. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) accessory trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  2. Remove the I/P center compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Center Compartment Replacement.
  3. Remove the HVAC control assembly. Refer to Heater and Air Conditioning Control Replacement.
  4. Remove the radio screws.
  5. Pull the radio toward you.

  7. Disconnect the I/P wiring harness connectors and the antenna cable connector from the radio.
  8. Remove the radio.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 929292  Size: SH
  1. Position the radio to the I/P.
  2. Connect the I/P wiring harness connectors and the antenna cable connector to the radio.

  3. Object Number: 928859  Size: SH

    Important: If the radio locator is difficult to align to the I/P locator opening, pull the radio toward you and reposition the antenna cable.

  4. Install the radio to the I/P.
  5. Align the radio locator to the hole in the I/P while pressing the radio into position.

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  6. Install the radio screws.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  8. Install the HVAC control assembly. Refer to Heater and Air Conditioning Control Replacement.
  9. Install the I/P center compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Center Compartment Replacement.
  10. Install the I/P accessory trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement.
  11. Perform the radio set up procedure for new radios. Refer to Control Module References for programming and setup information.
