Wiper Arm Pressure Check
- Remove the wiper blades from the wiper arms. Refer to Windshield Wiper Blade Replacement .
- Attach a scale to the end of the wiper arm and measure the force required to lift the wiper arm to the following dimensions:
- Replace the wiper arm if the measurement is not within the specification. Refer to Windshield Wiper Arm Replacement .
- Install the wiper blades on the wiper arms. Refer to Windshield Wiper Blade Replacement .
| • | Driver side wiper arm 37.3 mm (1.5 in) off of the windshield. |
| • | Passenger side wiper arm 10.5 mm (0.4 in) off of the windshield. |
