Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1228690 Size: SH
  1. Raise the hood.
  2. Remove the push-in retainers (1) from the hood latch closeout panel.

    3. Object Number: 1228692 Size: SH
  3. Remove the hood latch closeout panel from the vehicle.

    4. Object Number: 1228352 Size: SH
  4. Access the outside air temperature sensor through the hood latch opening.
  5. Pull the outside air temperature sensor from the radiator air baffle.
  6. Disconnect the electrical connector from the sensor.
  7. Remove the sensor (1) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1228352 Size: SH
  1. Position the sensor (1) to the vehicle.
  2. Connect the electrical connector to the sensor.
  3. Install the outside air temperature sensor to the radiator air baffle.

    4. Object Number: 1228692 Size: SH
  4. Position the hood latch closeout panel to the vehicle.

    5. Object Number: 1228690 Size: SH
  5. Install the push-in retainers (1) to the hood latch closeout panel.
  6. Close the hood.
  7. Drive the vehicle at a speed of 32 km/h (20 mph) for approximately one and a half minutes or at a speed of 72 km/h (45 mph) for approximately one minute in order to obtain the outside air update.
