Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle?

Verify that the inoperative driver door power window fault is present.

Does the driver door power window operate normally?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 3

Are the driver door, LR and RR windows all inoperative?

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 4

  1. Disconnect the driver window motor harness connector.
  2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  3. Probe the power window motor left front up control circuit of the harness with a test lamp that is connected to a good ground.
  4. Operate the driver window switch to the UP position.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 5

  1. Connect a test lamp between the power window motor left front up control circuit of the harness connector and the power window motor left front down control circuit of the harness connector.
  2. Operate the driver window switch to the DOWN position.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 9

Test the power window motor left front up control circuit of the driver window motor for an open or a short to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 13

Test the power window motor left front down control circuit of the driver window motor for an open or a short to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 13

Test the accessory voltage circuit of the driver window switch for an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the driver window motor. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the driver window switch. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and to Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the driver window motor. Refer to Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement .
