Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1230357 Size: SH
  1. Raise the rear compartment lid.
  2. Remove the rear compartment lid trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Inner Panel Trim Replacement .
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the high mount stop lamp.
  4. Remove the nuts (3) from the studs on the rear spoiler.
  5. Release the electrical grommet (2) from the rear compartment lid.
  6. Remove the rear spoiler (1) from the rear compartment lid.
  7. Remove any adhesive on the rear compartment lid with a 3M™ Scotch Brite molding adhesive remover disk 3M™ P/N 07502 or equivalent.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1230360 Size: SH
  1. Remove the protective backing from the adhesive strips on the ends of the spoiler (1).
  2. Position the rear spoiler to the rear compartment lid.
  3. Route the electrical connector for the high mount stop lamp through the rear compartment lid.
  4. Ensure that the high mount stop lamp grommet is fully seated.

    5. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  5. Install the nuts (3) to the studs on the rear compartment lid spoiler.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  6. Connect the high mount stop lamp electrical connector.
  7. Install the rear compartment lid trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Inner Panel Trim Replacement .
  8. Close the rear compartment.
