Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1229678 Size: SH
  1. Remove the hood latch from the hood latch support. Refer to Hood Primary and Secondary Latch Replacement .
  2. Remove the front bumper fascia upper support bolts from the hood latch support.
  3. Remove the bolts from the hood latch support at the upper tie bar.
  4. Remove the nut from the hood latch support at the lower tie bar.
  5. Remove the hood latch support from the tie bar.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1229678 Size: SH
  1. Position the hood latch support to the upper and lower tie bar.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the to the hood latch support to upper tie bar bolts .

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the hood latch support upper tie bar bolts to 25 N·m(18 lb ft).

  3. Install the hood latch support to lower tie bar nut .

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the hood latch support to lower tie bar nut to 10 N·m(89 lb in).

  4. Install the front bumper fascia upper support bolts to the hood latch support.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the front bumper fascia upper support bolts to 25 N·m(18 lb ft).

  5. Install the hood latch to the hood latch support. Refer to Hood Primary and Secondary Latch Replacement .
