Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the battery ground (negative) cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .

  2. Object Number: 96282  Size: SH
  3. Remove the right engine mount strut from the right engine mount strut bracket.
  4. Remove the air conditioning compressor mounting bolts. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement .
  5. Remove and set the air conditioning compressor aside.

  6. Object Number: 277918  Size: SH
  7. Remove the bolts from the right engine mount strut bracket.
  8. Remove the right engine mount strut bracket.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 277918  Size: SH
  1. Position the right engine mount strut bracket over the pin locator.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the bolts through the right engine mount strut bracket to the cylinder head.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the engine mount strut bracket bolt to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  5. Install the air conditioner compressor . Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement .
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the air conditioning compressor mounting bolts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  7. Install the right engine mount strut to the right engine mount strut bracket.
  8. Connect the battery ground (negative) cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
