Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 311657 Size: SH
  1. Apply the park brake.
  2. Shift the transaxle shift lever from Park to 1.
  3. Remove the left instrument panel (I/P) insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side .
  4. Remove the steering column filler. Refer to Steering Column Opening Filler Replacement .
  5. Tilt the steering wheel to the lowest position.
  6. Grasp the edge of the I/P cluster trim plate. Pull rearward to disengage the retainers.
  7. Disconnect the electrical connector from the fog lamp switch.
  8. Remove the I/P cluster trim plate.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 311657 Size: SH
  1. Connect the electrical connector to the fog lamp switch.
  2. Align the locating pins and the retainers on the I/P cluster trim plate with the openings in the I/P.
  3. Push in the I/P cluster trim plate at each of the retainer locations. Make sure the retainers are completely engaged.
  4. Return the steering wheel to the original position.
  5. Install the steering column filler. Refer to Steering Column Opening Filler Replacement .
  6. Install the left I/P insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side .
  7. Shift the transaxle shift lever from 1 to Park.
  8. Release the park brake.
