Makes 🢒 Pontiac 🢒 2000 🢒 Grand Prix 🢒 Body and Accessories 🢒 Body Rear End 🢒 Rear Compartment Lid Lock Actuator Replacement

Removal
  1. Open the rear compartment lid.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the lock actuator.
  3. Remove the screws retaining the lock actuator to the rear compartment lid latch.
  4. Remove the lock actuator from the rear compartment lid latch.

Installation
  1. Align the lock actuator to the rear compartment lid latch.

    2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the screws to the lock actuator.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the lock actuator screws to 3 N·m (26 lb in).

  3. Connect the electrical connector to the lock actuator.
  4. Close the rear compartment lid.
