Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 182320  Size: SH
  1. Open the rear compartment.
  2. Remove the compact disc (CD) player bracket nuts. Reposition the bracket.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the CD player.

  4. Object Number: 182306  Size: SH
  5. Remove the CD player bracket screws.
  6. Remove the CD player.
  7. Important: Install the transportation pin when shipping or transporting the CD player.

  8. If shipping or transporting the CD player, install the transportation pin by inserting the pin into the original location and fixing in place with clear tape.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 182306  Size: SH
  1. Remove the transportation pin from the remote compact disc (CD) player, if installed previously.
  2. Install the CD player to the bracket.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the CD player bracket screws.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the CD player bracket screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  6. Connect the electrical connector to the CD player.

  7. Object Number: 182320  Size: SH
  8. Install the CD player bracket to the studs.
  9. Install the CD player bracket nuts.
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the CD player bracket nuts to 7 N·m (62 lb in).

  11. Close the rear compartment.
