Makes 🢒 Pontiac 🢒 2000 🢒 Grand Prix 🢒 Body and Accessories 🢒 Instrument Panel, Gauges, and Console 🢒 Mode Valve Actuator Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the left instrument panel insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side in Instrument Panel Gauges and Console.
  2. Remove the instrument panel driver knee bolster bracket. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement in Instrument Panel Gauges and Console.

    3. Object Number: 295281 Size: SH
  3. Cut the tie strap (1) on the back side of the mode valve vacuum actuator.
  4. Disconnect the vacuum lines from the mode valve vacuum actuator.

    5. Object Number: 295288 Size: SH
  5. Carefully rotate the mode vacuum actuator towards the front of the vehicle until the actuator is released from the mounting pins on the HVAC module.

    6. Object Number: 295292 Size: SH
  6. Disconnect the vacuum actuator pushrod from the mode valve lever and remove the actuator.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 295292 Size: SH
  1. Connect the vacuum actuator pushrod to the mode valve lever and position the actuator.

    2. Object Number: 295288 Size: SH
  2. Carefully rotate the mode vacuum actuator towards the rear of the vehicle until the actuator is engaged on the mounting pins on the HVAC module.

    3. Object Number: 295281 Size: SH
  3. Install the tie strap (1) on the back side of the mode valve vacuum actuator.
  4. Connect the vacuum lines to the mode valve vacuum actuator.
  5. Install the instrument panel driver knee bolster bracket. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement in Instrument Panel Gauges and Console.
  6. Install the left side instrument panel insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side in Instrument Panel Gauges and Console.
