Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 319664  Size: SH
  1. Remove the instrument panel (IP) cluster trim plate. Refer to Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  2. Remove the radio screws.

  3. Object Number: 319670  Size: SH
  4. Pull the radio away from the IP.
  5. Disconnect the electrical/audio electrical connectors from the radio.
  6. Disconnect the coaxial cable connector from the radio.
  7. Remove the radio.

Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the coaxial cable connector to the radio.
  2. Connect the electrical/audio connectors to the radio.
  3. Install the radio to the instrument panel (IP).
  4. Important: If the radio locator tab is difficult to align to the IP locator opening, pull the radio toward you and reposition the antenna cable.

  5. Align the radio control locator tab to the IP locator hole while carefully pressing the radio into the IP until fully seated.

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  7. Install the radio screws.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the radio screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  9. Install the IP cluster trim plate. Refer to Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
