Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 426598  Size: SH
  1. Remove the rear shelf trim panel. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  2. Loosen the audio amplifier bolts.
  3. Open the rear compartment.
  4. Lower the audio amplifier bolts away from the openings in the rear window panel, as shown. Disengage the tabs from the slots in the rear window panel.
  5. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the audio amplifier.
  6. Remove the audio amplifier.

Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the electrical connectors to the audio amplifier.
  2. Install the tabs of the audio amplifier to the slots in the rear window panel.
  3. Position the audio amplifier bolts to the openings in the rear window panel, as shown. Slide the audio amplifier forward.
  4. Close the rear compartment.
  5. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Tighten the audio amplifier bolts.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten audio amplifier bolts to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  8. Install the rear shelf trim panel. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
