  1. Turn the headlamp switch to the HEAD position.
  2. Turn the headlamp dimmer switch to the HIGH position.

Is the high beam indicator in the instrument cluster ON?

  1. Inspect circuit 11 for a poor connection or an open.
  2. Inspect circuit 11 for a short to ground.
  3. If the circuit is OK, replace the headlamp dimmer switch. Refer to Multifunction Turn Signal Lever Replacement - On Vehicle in Steering Wheel and Column - Tilt.

Go to Daytime Running Lights (DRL) System Check

  1. Disconnect the underhood electrical center connector C2.
  2. Using a test light, probe the underhood electrical center connector C2 terminal F4 to ground.

Does the test light illuminate?

--

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 5

Replace the underhood electrical center. Refer to Underhood Electrical Center or Junction Block Replacement in Wiring systems.

Has the repair been made?

Go to Daytime Running Lights (DRL) System Check

Repair the poor connection or open in circuit 11 between S219 and the underhood electrical center harness connector C2 terminal F4.
