Use a scan tool in order to check for current Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) in the theft deterrent module.

Are there any DTCs stored in the theft deterrent module?

Go to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List/Type

Check for a poor connection or open in the B+ feed circuit to the theft deterrent module. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and repair the condition?

Check for a poor connection or open in the IGN feed circuit to the theft deterrent module. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Check for a poor connection or open in the ground feed circuit to the theft deterrent module. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  1. Replace the theft deterrent module.
  2. Perform the PASSKey Programming. Refer to Programming Theft Deterrent System Components .
