Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 311655  Size: SH
  1. Remove the instrument panel (IPC) cluster trim plate. Refer to Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Replacement .
  2. Remove the IPC screws.
  3. Rotate the IPC rearward and lift up on the top of the cluster in order to disengage the locating pins.

  4. Object Number: 311653  Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the IPC.
  6. Remove the IPC.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 311653  Size: SH
  1. Connect the electrical connectors to the IPC.

  2. Object Number: 311655  Size: SH
  3. Position the locating pins to the locating pin receivers in the IP.
  4. Install the IPC by rotating the top of the IPC inward.
  5. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Install the IPC screws.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  8. Install the IPC trim plate. Refer to Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Replacement .
