  1. Disconnect the left electric actuator.
  2. Start the engine.
  3. Run the engine at idle until warm.
  4. Set the heater-A/C control to AUTO 16°C (60°F).
  5. Use a digital multimeter (DMM) in order to measure the voltage at the harness connector between terminal 10 (circuit 1688) and ground.

Is the measured voltage within the specified range?

4-6 V

Use the DMM in order to measure the voltage at the actuator harness connector terminal 5 (circuit 541).

Is the measured voltage within the specified range?

9-14 V

Locate and repair a poor connection or an open in circuit 1688 (LT BLU/BLK) between S 245 and the left electric actuator harness connector terminal 10.

Is the repair complete?

Use a DMM in order to measure the voltage at the harness connector terminal 9 (circuit 733).

Is the measured voltage within the specified range?

4-6 V

Locate and repair a poor connection or an open between splice S 206 and the left electric actuator harness connector terminal 5.

Is the repair complete?

Use a test lamp, connected to B+, in order to backprobe the left electric actuator harness connector terminal 7 (circuit 61).

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 9

Inspect circuit 733 (LT BLU) for a poor connection or an open .

Was a poor connection or an open found?

Go to Step 11

Locate and repair a poor connection or an open in circuit 61 (YEL) between S 258 and the electric actuator harness connector terminal 7.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the left electric actuator. Refer to Temperature Actuator Replacement (LH) .

Replace the heater-A/C control. Refer to Control Assembly Replacement .

Locate and repair the fault in circuit 733 (LT BLU).
