Check the DIC/HVAC fuse in the fuse block.

Is the DIC/HVAC fuse open?

Locate and repair a short to ground in circuit 541 (BRN).

Is the repair complete?

  1. Place the ignition switch in the on position.
  2. Connect a test lamp between the HVAC Control module harness connector C 1 terminal B and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 5

Locate and repair a poor connection or an open in circuit 541 (BRN).

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Step 10

  1. Place the heater A/C blower control in the OFF position.
  2. Connect a test lamp between the heater A/C control connector C 2 terminal A and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

 

Go to Step 8

Check for a poor connection or an open in circuit 119 (WHT) between the heater A/C control connector C 2 terminal A and connector C 1 terminal A.

Is there a poor connection or open in the circuit?

Go to Step 7

Repair the fault in circuit 119 (WHT).

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 10

  1. Place the mode selector in the HEAT position.
  2. Turn the blower ON.
  3. Determine if the air is flowing from the floor outlets.

Is the air flowing from the floor outlets?

Go to Step 10

Replace the heater-A/C control. Refer to Control Assembly Replacement .
