Makes 🢒 Pontiac 🢒 2000 🢒 Grand Prix 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Controls - 3.8L 🢒 Air Cleaner Element Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Disconnect the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor electrical connector.
  2. Disconnect the mass air flow (MAF) sensor electrical connector.
  3. Loosen the air intake duct/MAF sensor hose clamps.
  4. Remove the air intake duct/MAF sensor assembly.
  5. Carefully remove the air inlet hose from the throttle body and from the air cleaner cover.
  6. Remove the 2 housing cover retaining clamps.

    7. Object Number: 444460 Size: SH
  7. Remove the air cleaner cover (5), and carefully remove the air filter element (6).
  8. Inspect the housing cover (4), the seal assembly, and the air ducting (2) for damage. If you find a problem, replace the components as necessary.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 444460 Size: SH
  1. Carefully install the air filter element (6) into the air cleaner assembly (1).
  2. Re-install the housing cover, and re-install the housing cover retaining screws.
  3. Carefully re-install the air inlet hose to the throttle body and the air cleaner cover.
  4. Tighten the air inlet hose clamp.
  5. Reinstall the air intake duct/MAF sensor assembly.
  6. Tighten the air intake duct/MAF sensor hose clamps.
  7. Connect the MAF sensor electrical connector.
  8. Connect the IAT sensor electrical connector.
