  1. Clean the lower intake manifold to supercharger mating surfaces.
  2. Clean the supercharger.
  3. • A small amount of oil weepage from the front oil seal is normal.
    • Dripping or puddling is not normal and the supercharger should be replaced.
  4. Inspect the supercharger for damage.
  5. Remove the supercharger oil plug (1).
  6. Inspect the supercharger oil level.
  7. • The oil level should reach the bottom of the threads in the inspection hole.
    • The superchargers oiling system holds 8 oz. of GM P/N United States 12345982, GM P/N Canada 10953513 synthetic oil.

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  8. Install the supercharger oil plug (1).
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the supercharger oil plug to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  10. Clean the throttle body mating surface.
  11. Inspect the supercharger pulley for damage.
