Removal Procedure

Tools Required

    • J 25033-C Power Steering Pump Pulley Installer
    • J 25034-C Power Steering Pump Pulley Remover
  1. Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement in Engine Mechanical-3.1L or Drive Belt Replacement in Engine Mechanical-3.8L.
  2. Remove the power steering pump from the engine for clearance. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement .

  3. Using the J 25034-C remove the power steering pump pulley from the power steering pump.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 293353 Size: SH

    Important: 

       • Never use a hammer to install the power steering pulley.
       • The face of the power steering pulley hub must be flush with the end of the power steering pump driveshaft.

  1. Using the J 25033-C install the power steering pump pulley to the power steering pump.
  2. Install the power steering pump to the engine. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement .
  3. Install the accessory drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement in Engine Mechanical-3.1L or Drive Belt Replacement in Engine Mechanical-3.8L.
  4. Fill the power steering system. Refer to Refilling the Power Steering System
  5. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .
  6. Inspect the power steering system for leaks. Refer to Power Steering Gear and Pump Leaks .
