Makes 🢒 Pontiac 🢒 2000 🢒 Grand Prix 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Mechanical - 3.1L 🢒 Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Disconnect the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor electrical connector.
  2. Remove the 3 bolts from the inner fender brace, and remove the brace.
  3. Loosen the clamp that secures the air intake duct to the air cleaner housing.

    4. Object Number: 444496 Size: SH
  4. Carefully remove the air intake duct from the throttle body and air cleaner housing (1).
  5. Remove the retaining screws (2) from the air cleaner housing sections.
  6. Remove the air cleaner housing cover assembly (1).
  7. Without disconnecting the powertrain control module (PCM) connectors, remove the PCM (4) and the harness from the PCM housing (3).

  8. Carefully remove the PCM housing (1) by pulling the housing from the 2 rubber grommets in the engine compartment. Inspect the assembly for signs of damage, and replace the assembly, if necessary.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 444479 Size: SH
  1. Carefully reinstall the PCM housing by pushing the housing into the rubber grommets (2) in the engine compartment.
  2. Carefully reinstall the PCM (4) and the harness into the PCM housing (3).

    3. Object Number: 444496 Size: SH
  3. Reinstall the air cleaner housing cover assembly (1).
  4. Reinstall the retaining screws (2) into the air cleaner housing sections.
  5. Carefully reinstall the air intake duct to the throttle body and the air cleaner housing (1).
  6. Tighten the clamp that secures the air intake duct to the air cleaner housing (1).
  7. Position the inner fender brace, and re-install the bolts.
