J 39032 Stationary Glass Removal Tool

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 314153  Size: SH

    Caution: When working with any type of glass or sheet metal with exposed or rough edges, wear approved safety glasses and gloves in order to reduce the chance of personal injury.

    Important: Before cutting out a stationary window, apply a double layer of masking tape around the perimeter of the painted surfaces and inner trim.

  1. Remove the rear quarter trim. Refer to Rear Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.

  2. Object Number: 71179  Size: SH

    Caution: When working with any type of glass or sheet metal with exposed or rough edges, wear approved safety glasses and gloves in order to reduce the chance of personal injury.

    Important: Keep the cutting edge of the tool against the window. Do this from inside the vehicle in order to protect the outer painted surface.

  3. This will allow the urethane adhesive to be separated from the window.
  4. • Leave a base of urethane on the pinchweld flange.
    • The only suitable lubrication is clear water.
    • UseJ 39032 or equivalent in order to remove the window.
    • Remove the quarter modular window from the pinchweld flange.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the quarter window into the opening. Refer to Adhesive Installation of Stationary Windows .
  2. Install the rear quarter trim. Refer to Rear Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  3. Remove the double layer of masking tape around the perimeter of the painted surfaces and the interior trim.
