Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 820496  Size: SH
  1. Remove the front seat cushion cover and pad from the cushion frame. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Cover Replacement .
  2. Remove the seat back from the cushion frame. Refer to Front Seat Back Replacement .
  3. Remove the power seat switch bracket from the frame, if equipped. Refer to Power Seat Switch Replacement .
  4. Remove the seat adjuster bolts (9) from the seat cushion frame (8).
  5. Remove the seat adjusters (2) from the seat cushion frame (8).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 820496  Size: SH
  1. Install the seat adjuster (2) to the seat cushion frame (8).
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the seat adjuster bolts (9) to the seat cushion frame (8).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  5. Install the power seat switch bracket to the seat cushion frame, if equipped. Refer to Power Seat Switch Replacement .
  6. Install the seat back to the cushion frame. Refer to Front Seat Back Replacement .
  7. Install the front seat cushion cover and pad to the seat cushion frame. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Cover Replacement .
