Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the window to the full up position.
  2. Remove the rear door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the water deflector as needed.

  4. Object Number: 736561  Size: SH
  5. From the inside of the door, remove the nut and handle bracket.
  6. Pivot the handle up to disengage it from the door.

  7. Object Number: 736505  Size: SH
  8. Remove the door handle rod (2) from the door lock.
  9. Remove the door handle (1) from the door.
  10. Remove the door handle rod.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 736505  Size: SH
  1. Install the door handle rod (2) to the door handle (1).
  2. Position the door handle in the door.

  3. Object Number: 736561  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the door handle bracket and outside door handle nut.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the outside door handle nut to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  6. Install the door handle rod to the door lock actuator.
  7. Install the water deflector.
  8. Install the rear door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
