The left and right rear rails are available as complete sub-assemblies and can be replaced in their entirety. Each rail consists of an outer panel, two inner reinforcements and all necessary component mounting brackets. The outer panel and rear mounting brackets are also available separately. When replacing a rail in its entirety, the weld flange that mates with the wheelhouse must be bent upwards (1). The service assembly is supplied with this flange in a horizontal position. The rear rail can be removed by drilling out all factory welds at the floor pan. When drilling out factory welds, the outboard flange at the forward end of the rail overlapping the rocker interior panel must be bent upward. The bottom flange of the crossbar must be bent downward (2).

Important: Remove the floor and wheelhouse braces at factory seams to access additional lower rail welds. Reinstall upon completion.

The rear rail can then be separated from the vehicle.
