Rear Bumper Bracket Replacement Fascia

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the tail lamp assembly. Refer to Tail Lamp Assembly and /or Backup, Sidemarker, Stop, Turn Signal Bulb Replacement .
  2. From inside the rear compartment, remove the rear support bracket nut.

  3. Object Number: 736273  Size: SH
  4. Remove the screws which secure the fascia to the rear support bracket.
  5. Remove the rear support bracket.

Installation Procedure

  1. Position the rear support bracket in the fascia.

  2. Object Number: 736273  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the rear support bracket screws.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the rear support bracket screws to 3 N·m (27 lb in).

  5. Install the rear support bracket nut.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the rear support bracket nut to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  7. Install the tail lamp assembly. Refer to Tail Lamp Assembly and /or Backup, Sidemarker, Stop, Turn Signal Bulb Replacement .

Rear Bumper Bracket Replacement Side Support

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear fascia . Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 736263  Size: SH
  3. Drill out the rivets.
  4. Remove the rear fascia side support bracket from the quarter panel.

Installation Procedure

  1. Position the rear support bracket (1) to the quarter panel.

  2. Object Number: 736211  Size: SH
  3. Install the rear support bracket rivets.
  4. Install the rear fascia. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement .
