Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 331144 Size: SH
  1. Open the rear compartment.
  2. Remove the nuts at each end of the applique.
  3. From inside the rear compartment lid, compress theretainers and push up.
  4. Lift up on the applique and disconnect the license lamp harness.
  5. Remove the license lamp. Refer to Rear License Lamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
  6. Remove the rear compartment lid applique from the rear compartment lid.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 331144 Size: SH
  1. Position the rear compartment lid applique over the rear compartment lid.
  2. Install the license lamp. Refer to Rear License Lamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
  3. Install the license lamp harness.
  4. Push down on the applique in order to secure the retainers.

    5. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the rear compartment lid applique nuts.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the rear compartment lid applique nuts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  6. Close the rear compartment.
