Removal Procedure
  1. Raise the window to the full up position.
  2. Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove enough of the front door water deflector in order to access the outside door handle (1). Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .

    4. Object Number: 596025 Size: SH
  4. Remove the outside door handle rod from the door handle blue plastic retainer (2).

    5. Object Number: 737647 Size: SH
  5. Remove the door outside locking rod from the door handle lock cylinder retainer.

    6. Object Number: 736561 Size: SH
  6. Remove the outside handle nut and bracket.
  7. Route the outside door handle  and handle rod as an assembly through the handle access hole in the door.

    8. Object Number: 332792 Size: SH
  8. Remove the handle rod (3) from the outside door handle assembly (1).
  9. Remove the lock cylinder (2) from the outside door handle assembly. Refer to Door Lock Cylinder Replacement .

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 332792 Size: SH
  1. Install the lock cylinder (2) to the outside door handle assembly (1). Refer to Door Lock Cylinder Replacement .
  2. Install the handle rod (3) to the outside door handle (1).

    3. Object Number: 736561 Size: SH
  3. Route the handle and rod as an assembly, through the door handle opening in the door.

    4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the door outside handle bracket and nut.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the outside door handle nut to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  5. Install the door outside locking rod (1) to the door handle lock cylinder retainer.
  6. Install the outside door handle rod to the door lock retainer (2).
  7. Install the front door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  8. Install the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  9. Inspect the door lock system for proper operation.
