Removal Procedure
  1. Open and support the door.
  2. Remove the rear door rubber conduit from the center pillar. Refer to Rear Side Door Conduit Replacement .
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the body harness.

  4. Remove the rear door check link to pillar bolt.

    5. Object Number: 595413 Size: SH
  5. Remove the door intermediate hinge bolts.
  6. Remove the door from the vehicle.
  7. Clean the area around the hinges and mark the location with a grease pencil.

  8. Remove the bolts securing the hinge to the rear door.

    9. Object Number: 736551 Size: SH
  9. Remove the bolts securing the hinge to the center pillar.
  10. Remove the hinge.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 736551 Size: SH
  1. Position the rear door hinge to the alignment marks on the hinge pillar.

    2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the rear door hinge to center pillar bolts.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the rear door hinge bolts to 28 N·m (21 lb ft).

  3. Position the rear door hinge to the marks on the rear door.
  4. Install the rear door hinge to door bolts.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the door hinge bolts to 28 N·m (21 lb ft).

  5. Position the door by the vehicle.
  6. Install the wire harness electrical connector to the body harness.

  7. Install the wire harness conduit to the body access hole.

    8. Object Number: 737652 Size: SH
  8. Install the intermediate bolts on the door hinges.

    9. Tighten
    Tighten the door intermediate hinge bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  9. Install the door check link to the hinge pillar bolt.

    10. Tighten
    Tighten the door check link to hinge pillar bolt to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  10. Remove the support from the door.
  11. Inspect the door for proper alignment.
