Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 69062  Size: SH
  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Remove the air intake duct.

  3. Object Number: 69065  Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) purge line.
  5. Disconnect the fuel lines. Refer to Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  6. Disconnect the throttle position (TP) sensor electrical connector.

  7. Object Number: 201482  Size: SH
  8. Remove the 2 TP sensor fasteners.

  9. Object Number: 201473  Size: SH
  10. Remove the TP sensor and O-ring.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 201503  Size: SH
  1. Install the TP sensor O-ring on the TP sensor.

  2. Object Number: 201473  Size: SH
  3. Install the TP sensor on the throttle body assembly.

  4. Object Number: 201482  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the 2 TP sensor fasteners, using a thread-locking compound on the screws. Loctite® 262, GM P/N #1052624, or equivalent should be used.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the TP sensor attaching screws to 2.0 N·m (18 lb in).

  7. Connect the TP sensor electrical connector.
  8. Connect the EVAP purge line.
  9. Connect the fuel lines. Refer to Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .

  11. Install the air intake duct.
