Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement Pontiac

1. Apply the park brake.
2. Adjust the shift lever to LOW.
3. Using a small flat-bladed tool, remove the ignition switch bezel.



4. Using a flat-bladed tool, disengage the accessory trim plate from the I/P.
5. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
6. Remove the cigar lighter from the accessory trim plate, if required. Refer to Cigar Lighter Housing Replacement - Instrument Panel .
7. Remove the mounting plate bracket from the I/P accessory switch, if required.
8. Remove the accessory trim plate.

1. Install the mounting plate bracket to the I/P accessory switch, if required.
2. Install the cigar lighter to the I/P accessory trim plate, if required. Refer to Cigar Lighter Housing Replacement - Instrument Panel .
3. Connect the electrical connectors.
4. Install the I/P accessory trim plate by pressing the plate into place until fully seated.



5. Install the ignition switch bezel. Press the bezel into place until fully seated.
6. Adjust the shift lever to PARK.
7. Release the park brake.

Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement Oldsmobile

1. Remove the instrument panel accessory trim plate, by pulling rearward to release the retainers.
2. Remove the HVAC control head from the instrument panel accessory trim plate.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the 12 volt power supply.
4. Remove the 12 volt power supply from the instrument panel accessory trim plate, if required. Refer to 12-Volt Accessory Power Receptacle Replacement .

1. Install the HVAC control head to the instrument panel accessory trim plate.
2. Install the 12 volt power supply to the instrument panel accessory trim plate, if required. Refer to 12-Volt Accessory Power Receptacle Replacement .
3. Connect the electrical connector to the 12 volt power supply.
4. Install the instrument panel accessory trim plate to the instrument panel, pressing into place until fully seated.
