Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 165913 Size: SH
  1. Remove the left front tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  2. Remove the inner splash shield.
  3. Disconnect the EBCM electrical connector.

    4. Object Number: 165914 Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the EBCM harness from the bracket.

    5. Object Number: 165911 Size: SH
  5. Remove the EBCM mounting screws from the bracket.
  6. Remove the EBCM from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 165911 Size: SH
  1. Install the EBCM to vehicle.

    2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the mounting screws attaching the EBCM to bracket.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the attaching screws to 11 N·m (97 lb in)

  3. Connect the EBCM harness to the bracket.

    4. Object Number: 165913 Size: SH
  4. Connect the EBCM electrical connector.
  5. Install the inner splash shield.
  6. Install the left front tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  7. Perform the Diagnostic System Check - ABS .
