NO BLOWER SPEED CHANGE LOW TO MED (CORRECTED WIRING)

VEHICLES AFFECTED: ALL 89-90 PONTIAC "J", ALL 90 CHEVROLET "J", 88-89 PONTIAC "N" 2.0L TURBO, ALL W/C41

CONDITION:

There have been some customer comments of no medium blower speed on standard heater (C-41) equipped vehicles. The blower functions normally on high speed but there is no apparent difference in air flow between low and medium speed.

CAUSE:

The 51 circuit and the 52 circuit wires at the blower motor resistor, cavities D and B, are reversed.

CORRECTION:

Refer to service manual 8A-60-0 for proper wiring procedure.
