AC DELCO REMANUFACTURED ENGINES

Subject: AC DELCO REMANUFACTURED ENGINES (1989 AND PRIOR YEARS)

AC Delco Remanufactured engines are intended solely for the retail (customer pay) market and are NOT to be used for warranty repairs or policy adjustments.

AC Delco Remanufactured engines are covered by a 12 month/12,000 mile warranty which includes parts and labor for either a repair or replacement. Warranty claims involving failed AC Delco Remanufactured engines are to be submitted as either a Claim Type "B" or "C" using a single, unique labor operation number (R9200). When a failure does occur and the problem/cause has been determined, but prior to performing the repair, approval must be obtained by calling the AC Delco Engine Center on 1-800-322-4637. The Engine Center can also assist with any technical questions that may arise during engine diagnosis or repair. The engine center will reach agreement with dealership personnel regarding the appropriate repair/claim procedure. After repairs are completed, the claim detail should be submitted as follows:

o Repair Order Number

o Repair Order Date

o Vehicle Identification Number (Actual VIN)

o Mileage

o Part Count

o Failed Part Number - The AC Delco engine part number

o Failure Code - 88

o Labor Operation Number R9200

o Labor Operation Hours The labor hours agreed to with AC Delco

o Engine Center

o Labor Operation Other Hours - Not Allowed

o Net Item - Dealer material reimbursement amount agreed to with AC

o Delco Engine Center

o Claim Type - "B" or "C" as appropriate

o Authorization Code
