The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Customer may comment on a tick, click, or rattle noise coming from a door. The noise may be loudest at the rear of the door.

Inspect the door jamb striker on the door opening the noise is coming from. The loop on the striker may be loose in the striker backing plate. You can usually verify if the striker is loose by opening the door & pushing down firmly on the striker with the palm of your hand and then pulling up firmly on the striker with your fingers. If you feel a "slip stick" condition or hear a slight pop noise at the striker assembly it will need to be replaced.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
