The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

A dealer may be diagnosing a loss of High Speed GMLAN communication and report that the diagnostic procedure directs the tech to remove the Terminating Resistor, yet they can not locate it in the area SI illustrates that it should be.

The Terminating Resistor is located in the IP Harness on the Left Hand side of the center stack, taped to the Radio Antenna harness breakout. It can be viewed and accessed by removing the Left Hand knee bolster and looking upward near the center stack. Follow the Radio Antenna coax up to the main IP Harness and it will be found taped to this cable.

A SI Feedback Form has been submitted and this PI will be removed after SI has been corrected.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
