Makes 🢒 Pontiac 🢒 2008 🢒 G8 🢒 Body Hardware and Trim 🢒 Instrument Panel and Console Trim 🢒 Front Floor Console Cup Holder Replacement

Removal Procedure (Up to 17 Sept 2007)
  1. Remove the centre console trim plate. Refer to Console Trim Plate Replacement .

    2. Object Number: 1943710 Size: SH
  2. Using a suitable tool carefully remove cupholder trim (1) by disengaging the retaining clips.

    3. Object Number: 1962718 Size: SH
  3. Remove the cupholder mat (1) located at the base of the cupholder.

    4. Object Number: 1957036 Size: SH
  4. Remove the cupholder (4) retaining screws (1).
  5. Remove the cupholder (4) from the centre console (3) by releasing the retaining lug (2) and lifting upwards.

Installation Procedure (Up to 17 Sept 2007)

    Object Number: 1957036 Size: SH
  1. Install the cupholder (4) into the centre console (3) listen for an audible click from the retaining lug (2) to confirm fitting.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the cupholder to centre console retaining screws (1).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the screws (1) to 2  N·m (18 lb in).

  3. Install the cupholder mat (1).

    4. Object Number: 1943710 Size: SH
  4. Install the cup holder trim (1) by firmly engaging the retaining clips.
  5. Install the centre console trim plate. Refer to Console Trim Plate Replacement .

Removal Procedure (From 17 Sept 2007)
  1. Remove the centre console trim plate. Refer to Console Trim Plate Replacement .

    2. Object Number: 2015999 Size: SH
  2. Using a suitable tool carefully remove the cupholder trim (1) by disengaging the retaining clips.

    3. Object Number: 2016002 Size: SH
  3. Remove the cupholder mat (1) located at the base of the cupholder.

    4. Object Number: 2016003 Size: SH
  4. Remove the cupholder to centre console retaining screws (1).
  5. Remove the cupholder (4) from the centre console (3) by releasing the retaining lug (2) and lifting upwards.

Installation Procedure (From 17 Sept 2007)

    Object Number: 2016003 Size: SH

    Important:  Listen for an audible click from the retaining lug (2) to confirm fitting.

  1. Install the cupholder (4) into the centre console (3)

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the cupholder to centre console retaining screws (1).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2  N·m (18 lb in).

  3. Install the cupholder mat (1).

    4. Object Number: 2015999 Size: SH
  4. Install the cup holder trim (1) by firmly engaging the retaining clips.
  5. Install the centre console trim plate. Refer to Console Trim Plate Replacement .
