Preliminary Procedure

  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  2. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement for the 3.5L engine or Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement for the 3.9L engine.
  3. Remove the radiator surge tank. Refer to Radiator Surge Tank Replacement .

Heater Outlet Hose

Tip

  1. Using J 38185 to reposition of the heater outlet hose clamps.
  2. Remove the heater outlet hose from the connector and the engine.
