Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement .
  2. Remove the rear end trim upper finish panel. Refer to Rear End Trim Finish Upper Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the rear seat center shoulder belt assemblies. Refer to Rear Seat Belt Retractor Replacement .

Bolt, Rear Seat Back Cushion (Qty: 2)

Tighten
25 N·m (18 lb ft)

Cushion, Rear Seat Back

Tip
Pull up on the front of the seat back cushion to disengage the retainers, and lift out of the vehicle.

  2. Remove the rear seat belt buckles. Refer to Rear Seat Belt Buckle Replacement.
  3. Remove the rear seat belt anchor plate bolt. Refer to Rear Seat Belt Retractor Replacement.

Rear Seat Back Cover

Procedure

Use a hook-like tool to release the tabs on both sides.

Rear Seat Back Bolt (Qty: 2)

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Tighten
45 N·m (33 lb ft)

Rear Seat Back Bolt (Qty: 4)

Tip
Pull the release handle for the rear split folding seat back located in the compartment.

Tighten
25 N·m (18 lb ft)

Rear Seat Back

Caution: The rear bench seat weights over 32 kg (71 lb) and is too long for one person to lift. To avoid personal injury use two people to lift this seat.

Procedure

Transfer components as necessary.
